Traveling to Experiencia in Cuernavaca

Airport Pick-up

Experiencia can pick you up at the airport in Mexico City, if you wish. However, we need exact information about your flight, including airline, flight number and arrival time and date, at least one week prior to your arrival. There will be a separate charge for this service. Please see our rate sheet below. Reduced rates are also available if more than one person is in your pick-up. Please arrive prior to 10 p.m or there will be an additional late night pick-up fee charged ($10).

Pick-up between 10pm and 10am will incur an additional $10US fee. Driver waiting time covered is for one hour after flight arrival. For each 1 hour delay past this,   you will have to pay  an extra $10US fee.

From the airport in Mexico City, there are also buses to Cuernavaca, that can be caught very easily from the International Gate D area. These buses run daily every 45 minutes to an hour throughout most of the day and every hour to an hour and a half in the evening. The cost is approximately 85 pesos ($8.50). This ride takes an hour to an hour an a half. They play a video en route and serve soda and cookies. From the bus station in Cuernavaca, you may catch a cab ($3) to Experiencia, or to your host family's address.

Pay at the Kiosk outside of Gate D. Take the bus until its destination of the Casino de la Selva bus station in Cuernavaca. From the bus station, you can catch a cab to the school or your family address, the cost should be equal to about 2 or 3 US dollars. We recommend cabs marked "Radio Cab". Returns are from the Terminal Casino de la Selva in Cuernavaca located at Avenida Plan de Ayala No. 102, Monday - Sunday. The school will help you understand how to do this. Typically, we purchase the tickets a day or two ahead of time: 04:00, 04:30, 05:00, 05:30, 06:00, 07:00, 08:00, 09:00, 10:00, 10:40, 11:20, 12:00, 12:40, 13:20, 14:15, 15:00, 16:00, 16:40, 17:15, 18:15, 19:30 Buy your tickets as you board for trips from the airport. Buy them in advance for return trips to the airport. The cost is approximately 85 pesos  ($9) and the duration is approximately an hour and thirty minutes. Note that this schedule and price could change without notice.

If you are traveling with children, please read the aviso below carefully! Please be aware that both parents must be accompanying children during travel to and from Mexico or have a notarized note of authorization from the absent parent giving clear permission to the accompanying parent to travel to  Mexico, specifying the dates and purpose of travel as well. Teens traveling unattended will need a notarized note signed by BOTH parents or a notarized note from each parent.
